2012 Suzuki Hayabusa Battery Specifications
The Suzuki Hayabusa is arguably the premier sport motorcycle in the world. Debuting in 1999, it set a latest benchmark for performance, especially in the top speed of a road-legal motorcycle. The first generation Suzuki Hayabusa came out until 2008, when the second generation appeared. Second generation Suzuki Hayabusa had a slight increase in engine size and power. Suzuki Hayabusa owners may want to know specifications to select the right unit when displacing a worn battery.
FIRST GENERATION BATTERY SPECIFICATIONS (1999-2007)
The First Generation Suzuki Hayabusa utilizes a YT12A-BS model battery that has a 12-volt capacity, 36 kC (10 Ah)/10HR. Battery voltage readings from a voltmeter should read between 12.5 and 12.6V of direct current (DC).
The Second Generation Suzuki Hayabusa requires the same specifications as the previous models, but it is a YTX12A-BS model battery that has a 12-volt capacity, 36 kC (10 Ah)/10HR. Standard electrolyte has a specific gravity of 1.320 at 68 degrees Fahrenheit.
BATTERY MAINTENANCE
A reading of under 12V requires a charging, which with a 5A charger will take one hour, and with a 1.2A charger will take five to 10 hours. You will need a maintenance charge every month when you are not using the motorcycle regularly.

SALMAN KHAN ADDS HAYABUSA TO HIS COLLECTION OF SUPERBIKES
The Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who is also the brand Ambassador for Suzuki two-wheelers, is a passionate biker and is known for his fabulous collection of motorcycles. Bollywood Superstar Salman Khans love for bikes is nothing new and he has been famous for his love for bikes since his early days of fame. Salman Khan said, "One of my earliest superbikes was a Hayabusa and its one of my absolute favorites. This new one is an absolute beauty."
Mr. Atul Gupta, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) and Ms. Anu Anamika, National Head – Marketing, SMIPL presented the bike enthusiast, Salman Khan, with the legendary “Black” Hayabusa. This comes shortly after the superstar acquired another masterpiece from the Suzuki shed – a limited edition blue Intruder M1800RZ.
